Exploring the Black History through Graffiti- We'll start the session by exploring Black History and its impact through art and graffiti- The Graffiti artist will show the participants some of the iconic graffiti's and their own creations | 10 Minutes |
The composition of Graffiti- Understand the focus on letters and try to read recognizing all the different elements that compose a piece- The letter structure: the shape of the letters, simple block letters, wild style, 3D style, west coast style, bubble style - The fill: gradient fill top to bottom - The effects: wave effects, bubbles, splashes, cracks, chip - The outlines - The 3D - The background: minimalist, busy, abstract | 15 Minutes |
Choose a word related to Black History- Try to think about a word, less than 5 letters work well on an A4 sheet of paper- Avoid writing a phrase as it's quite hard to keep the unity or consistency between the letters. | 5 Minutes |
